A cutting edge mobile application to accompany the amazing new trail around the grounds of this iconic visitor attraction. A journey for both the young and young at heart.
This mobile app was developed to appeal to both adults and children, so that both could enjoy the beautiful surroundings whilst learning a little about astronomy and the heritage of this location. The app is fully dynamic, controlled by a simple and intuitive content management system that allows the observatory staff to update information whenever required.
Adults and children have their own dedicated journey, “The Astropark Journey” and “Cosmo Lost in Space”. Both are highly informative but fun to use and include some particularly clever elements of Augmented Reality. The children’s journey is accompanied by a booklet to help them complete the puzzles and be aware of their surroundings as they travel. A code on-site unlocks each experience to encourage footfall.
